“7 THINGS I AM PERSONALLY TIRED OF SEEING OR BEING TOLD ABOUT”:
1)”GRAMMY MUSIC AWARDS CEREMONIES WITH MORE DANCERS AND EMCEES ON THE STAGE THAN MUSICIANS”.
There’s something very wrong with a “music awards ceremony” that has almost no musicians performing on the stage!! I like sexy women dancing in tights as much as the next guy,and I understand people like “Hip hop” and that we’re stuck with DJ’s——-but couldn’t we AT LEAST HAVE REAL MUSICIANS AT A MUSIC AWARDS CEREMONY? EH?
Too much to ask?
2) “POLITICAL CORRECTNESS IN ALL IT’S FORMS”
Not just because it is inconvenient and crushes our ability to laugh at ourselves but because it is pretentious and false to its very core. It is just censorship masquerading as “protecting people from insensitive opinions or expression of those opinions” which makes it all the more odious and obnoxious.
3) “PEOPLE WHO ACT SHOCKED WHEN THEY HEAR ABOUT INFIDELITY OF FAMOUS POLITICIANS OR ACTORS/MUSICIANS ETC”
First, their personal life is none of your business and second, the whole thing reeks of “fake outrage”. If you want to feel anger, aim your “Outrage” at something that is actually affecting your life or people you care about in a negative way. Be mad about things that really matter.
Last but not least,it is truly hypocritical for people to become so outraged at the “infidelity of the rich and famous” as most people have equally big skeletons in their own closets.
4) PEOPLE WHO BELIEVE EVERY THING AND EVERY CONSPIRACY THEY ARE TOLD ABOUT BY AUTHORITY FIGURES IN THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA AND YET SCOFF AT “CONSPIRACY THEORISTS” (AKA “PEOPLE WHO PROPOSE ALTERNATIVE EXPLANATIONS”)
These people are the ones I will not feel sorry for if there ever really is an “end of Days” type scenario. what is really laughable is to see people like this refer to themselves as skeptics when they are the exact opposite. It is the conspiracy theorists of this world who are the real skeptics. People who worship at the altar of the mainstream media and authority figures are the same mind set as those who mindlessly believe in religious dogma and/or doctrines. They are suffer from “Cognitive dissonance” and usually are completely “Left Brain people”—— who don’t even use much of their left brain either.
5) “HEARING ABOUT “THE HOLOCAUST”
UGH. We get it: Lots of German/Polish born Jews died in concentration camps.
Yes it was a horrible event, and we will never forget it (How could we with the media constantly reminding us of it all the time? )
But guess what? Many OTHER races died in those concentration camps.
In fact, if you want to talk sheer numbers, more Russians died in WW2 than did any other nationality(Around 20 million)
Also, there have been many “holocausts”” before and since those times which are equally deserving of our horror and attention,if we want to discuss human atrocities. (he American Indians holocaust comes to mindI
The point is: If we’re going to go down this road, lets look at ALL the “holocausts” in our history—not just one.
6) “KARAOKE AND DJ’s”
I understand the appeal of Karaoke, but it has become a substitute for live music, and it has hurt the ability of new artists and thus the whole of music. This needs to stop. As for D.J’s, the same is also true. D.J.’s/people playing canned music have become a substitute for live music and because of DJ’s and Karaoke, there are many musicians in the younger generation that not only do not have many places to perform, many younger people have never even(Or rarely ever) even seen a live performance of music in a club situation.
As for me,I miss the days when DJ’s were “guys on the radio”, and karaoke was something people did “in the shower” or “in their cars”—-not with a microphone on a stage.
7) THE PANTS FALLING OFF THE ASS LOOK/GUYS WHO WEAR THEIR PANTS 10 SIZES TOO LARGE.
I have to say “guys” in this last complaint of mine because it is my observation that it is usually guys who wear their pants in this ridiculous fashion—- and it isn’t just the pants—it’s the shirts and shorts as well. To be fair women are some times guilty of this side of this fashion era as well but again not nearly as often as guys. This style started in the early 90’s and it looked like hell then and it looks like hell now. It actually started from prison culture. Guys who wore their pants “hanging below their ass” was in fact a signal to other cell mates that he was “available for anal sex”. So to all of you still wearing your pants this way, that is where the whole style comes from. I mention this because so many of the guys who dress this way are usually in “macho mode” and think they are “bad asses” and “gangstas”—–when actually they are “emulating the prison bitch”—which altho funny still doesn’t make it any better for me when I have to see this everywhere!!
